April 28, 2016 – So Much Has Happened!

April 27, 2016 – The Daily Diva…

Good hello dog lovers.

Much has happened in the last 30 days since my last update.  Don’t worry, I am fine.  Well as fine as can be expected when one’s world is turned upside down!

First, this happened…

Ducati is gone forever!  My boy Casey got married and has taken his Ducati to live with him and his wife.  YAY!!!  He is happy, I am happy and all is right with the world.  He still comes to visit every time they come over. 

Life is good!  I am on the back of my throne, with no one left to bother me.  Expect for Supra, and he is no bother.  I don’t mind Supra the Wonder Dog.  He takes my boy Blake and senior diva hiking, and heaven knows I do not like to go hiking!  Thank you, Supra.

Then last Friday, my boys and senior diva were gone for an entire day.  A 20-hour road trip to Washington state.  You can read all about their adventures HERE.  When they came home, they had this… OH MY GOD!!!!  NOOOOO!

I did NOT authorize the acquisition of this tacky, floofy, polar bear rug, return it immediately!!!Someone, please make my crazy world stop spinning…I want to get off! Just when you think life is going according to plan…the plan changes.  

Everybody loves him, and he is even good with chickens.  *sigh*  I guess he is here to stay. “Hello, world!  My name is Denali, Dozer’s Legacy.  I am a 10-week-old, almost 19-pound, Great Pyrenees puppy.  Pleased to make your acquaintance!  My primary duty in life is to be ridiculously adorable and annoy they heck out of Miss Lilly.  Mission accomplished!  I will be a new regular guest on this blog.  Hmmm…should we change the name to Denali and the Diva?”No, just no.  I am still the star of this blog!  And the star of my boy’s world.  And that my dear, fluffy, obnoxious little polar bear…will never change!

Good hello dog lovers.

These baby chicks are starting to get a little annoying.    Every time I turn around, my boys are fussing over them!

Yes, they are cute, fuzzy and adorable, but soon they will be big ugly chickens!

I, on the other hand, will never be a big ugly chicken!

Can you take a chicken on a bike ride?

Can you take a chicken for a walk in the park on a sunny day?

Can you snuggle up to a chicken when you feel like you need a hug?

Nay, nay, say I to thee.  Nothing, and I mean nothing, can compare to the love of a MinPin.

Doggies rule, chickens…well, chickens just poop everywhere.

April 16, 2015 – The Grass is Always Greener…

April 16, 2015 – The Daily Diva… Good hello dog lovers.  They always say the grass is greener…on the diva side of the fence! It is true you know.  Just look at me!  I am gorgeous! Senior diva had number one son construct a fence dividing the yard. On one side of the yard will be her glorious vegetable and flower garden, and the chicken coop.  On the other side of the fence…the drooling, obnoxious boy dogs.  That is right dog lovers, the big guys have been banished to the left side of the yard. Now before you start to feel even the slightest bit of pity for the poor fellas, it would be unfounded.  For you see, Dozer, Supra and Ducati are couch potatoes.  They only go outside to take care of business, then they are immediately barking, scratching and whining at the door to come back inside and resume their couch potato positions!  These boys get more beauty sleep than Sleeping Beauty after a full plate of turkey, gravy, spuds, stuffing and a hot buttered dinner roll…or two…or three. Dozer thinks it is all a game.  He enjoys chasing me up and down the fence, and I invite him over to play with me every now and then. Supra walks up to the fence, give me a good old Great Dane grunt, then proceeds to ignore me. Ducati, well, Ducati is…as per usual…simply offended.

“Hello world.  My name is Ducati, and I am offended.”

I, on the other paw, enjoy fresh air, flowers and sunshine.  I enjoy nothing more than to prance and frolic like a graceful gazelle through the flowers on a sunny day.  A beauty I am…a sleeping beauty…never!

So guess where I am dog lovers?  That is right, I am on the right side of the fence.  The beautiful side of the fence that will have the gardens, the chickens, the fountain and the beautiful, lush, green grass.  Senior diva, Rosie, Thelma, Louise and I will enjoy the glorious gardens all to ourselves. Yes, I know, I am stuck with the chickens, but they are far better than those drooling, obnoxious, male canines that lift their legs and pee on everything! Life is good dog lovers.  Life is good. April 13, 2015 – The Chicks Can Stay

April 13, 2015 – The Daily Diva…

Good hello dog lovers.

After three days of all things chicken, I have decided that the chickens can stay.  Of course I am in charge of all matters of this family…as I am the queen bee.

Let me introduce you to the ladies…

This is Thelma.  She can be pushy at times, but is definitely in charge of the chickens.  I will give her the title of “Queen Chick,” but only if she knows her place and answers to me.

This is Louise.  She is a lovely little spirit, and bothers no one.  Senior diva has taken a liking to her.

Finally there is Rosie.  Rosie is much like the sweet step sister Jacqueline from the movie Ever After.  She is only here for the food…and to sleep.

This chicken adventure has been good thus far.  I am pretty sure we will all get along just fine…and I am really looking forward to fresh eggs!

I am so confused today.  Senior diva introduced me to three new members of the family. They smell like chickens. They look like chickens. I bet they taste like chicken.  *SLURP* However, I am told, they are friends…not food. I hereby do solemnly swear to not eat the chickens…and celebrate fresh eggs.  I do love eggs. Repeat after me…”Chickens are friends…not food!”

…not a creature was stirring…

What is that you say dog lovers?  Silly Miss Lilly is reciting a Christmas poem, and NOT and Easter poem?

I will tell you what is silly my dog loving friends…

Silly is placing a perfectly good MinPin in an Easter basket, covered in synthetic Easter grass.  That my friends is silly!

Do you have any idea how much static electricity resides in this dastardly, plastic, decorative crap from hell?

I will be picking this “grass” off of my fur for days!

Good hello dog lovers.

Where have I been you ask?  I have been at the International MinPin  Conference, in Hoboken New Jersey.  They have asked me to be the new, fresh face, of “MinPin International.”  The last diva was disqualified because her mama was a Chihuahua.

April Fools!

The conference was not held in Hoboken you silly dog lovers. Actually, I have been sitting here in senior diva’s bike basket, waiting patiently  for my next ride. Two rides she has been on without me, one and two.  Two rides!! I am deeply offended.  She promised me I would be included in all cycling adventures. I am not moving from this spot until I get my next ride.  Yes, I know, there is a quick release button on the basket.  However, said button is safely located betwixt the bottom of the basket, and my tail feathers.  And news flash dog lovers…no one touches my tail feathers.  Might I suggest that you proceed with extreme caution.
